Hathway Finance, City Express Finance and Janaki Finance start Electronic Cheque Clearing System

March 30: Nepal Clearing House Ltd (NCHL) has entered into separate agreements with Hathway Finance, City Express Finance and Janaki Finance Limited for subscribing to Electronic Cheque Clearing System (ECC) services. The agreements were signed by Neelesh Man Singh Pradhan, CEO of NCHL, Bishnu Pandey, CEO of Hathway Finance Ltd, Bhisma Raj Chalise, CEO of City Express Finance Ltd and Rajnesh Kumar Singh, CEO of Janaki Finance Ltd, NCHL said in a statement. As per the agreements, NCHL will provide ECC service to enable the finance companies to process electronic cheques, reads a press statement issued by NCHL.

According to NCHL, the number of banks and financial institutions providing ECC service has reached 84 with over 3,680 branches across Nepal.
