Acharya Appointed Chairman of NCHL

April 3: The 110^th meeting of the Board of Directors of Nepal Clearing House Ltd (NCHL) has selected Jhalak Sharma Acharya as the company’s chairman. Acharya is currently the executive director of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) and a representative of the NCHL board. Acharya has replaced Janak Bahadur Adhikari, executive director of NRB. The current board of NCHL has seven members with one representation from NRB, three from commercial banks and one each from development banks, finance companies and smart choice technologies.

NCHL has been providing electronic cheque clearing and interbank payment system services to its member banks and financial institutions in Nepal.
