Reconstruction of Dharahara to start shortly: KP Oli

April 26: Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli has said that the reconstruction of Dharahara is in his topmost priority list and will shortly pave the way for the reconstruction work.

The announcement was made during a function to commemorate the third anniversary of the devastating quake of 2015 on April 25.

PM Oli had initiated ‘Ma Banauchu Mero Dharahara’ campaign during his first stint as prime minister but the project remains incomplete.

 “The earthquake destroyed our history along with our historical monuments. We are committed to reestablish those heritage sites. For this, we will reconstruct Dharahara followed by other national monuments and then will also build new monuments that will reflect our culture, history and identity,” said PM Oli.
