May 23: The Coca-Cola Company has included sequences which have been locally filmed in Nepal for its Global Film for FIFA World Cup. The TV commercial highlights special moments of FIFA World Cup 2018, the company said in a statement.
The soundtrack for the TVC is taken from AC/DC's 1990 hit album 'The Razor's Edge' and titled 'Are you ready?’. The track asks the consumer if they are ready for the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
According to the company, the commercial starts with a display of a television where the FIFA World Cup game is about to begin. The film features teens from all around the globe, including two Nepali teens running to grab their Coca-Cola just in time for the World Cup match to begin and towards the end urges the viewers to stock up on Coke before the match fever begins.
Locations from all over the world are featured in the commercial with key locations from Nepal being shot with Nepali artists in Swoyambhu stupa area, a World Heritage Site, as well as a department store in Kathmandu. Other locations of Nepal included in the commercial include Sitapaila and a suspension bridge near a housing complex. Nepal features as an integral part of the global TVC.
