June 18: An aircraft belonging to Yeti Airlines skidded off the runway while landing at Pokhara Airport on Sunday afternoon. The aircraft with call sign 9N-AHU 681 carrying 30 passengers slipped 25 meters away from the runway to a grassy field at 2.45 pm due to hydraulic failure. According to Pokhara Airport's communications officer Kashinath Poudel, all the passengers are safe and sound.
According to him, flights have not been disrupted as the plane has not blocked the runway. A team of engineers from Kathmandu has already arrived to check the plane, informed Poudel. Yeti Airlines' another plane had also crash-landed in the airport about two months ago due to nozzle locl.
