June 27: Dharmawati community in Pyuthan district has finally been connected with the access to drinking water. The community was troubled by the scarcity of water since years.
Previously, the locals were consuming water from contaminated and unhygienic sources. Locals of the community collected Rs 400,000 through donations to overcome the situation. The collected amount was invested for repairing and maintaining a local drinking water project.
Bhedhabari-Turasapani Drinking Water Project restarted after maintenance. The water project has already started functioning after the maintenance and is currently serving the locals of Dharmawati with safe drinking water.
