July 24: Laxmi Bank has inaugurated its five new branches in rural municipalities across the country. The newly opened branches have been set up at Thulung Dudhkoshi of Solukhumbu, Banphikot of Rukum, Chaukune of Surkhet, Pathivara Yangwarak and Sidhingwa of Taplejung district. According to the bank, these new branches will offer full range of retail banking services customized to meet the needs of the individuals and small businesses.
With this, Laxmi Bank network is now spread across 46 district with 94 branches, and three hospital service counters, 104 ATMs, more than 2500 remittance agents, 51 branchless banking service and 400+ mobile banking agents spread across the country.
The bank said in a statement it is expanding to newer and underserved markets with the aim of serving the growing demand for professional financial services such as innovative saving accounts, term deposits, home and auto loans, small business loans, microfinance, insurance etc.
