August 12: Standard Chartered Bank Nepal has been declared the winner of the World's Best Consumer Digital Bank Awards 2018 for Nepal in the Asia Pacific category by Global Finance magazine.
The award was announced in New York on August 9 by Global Finance as the first round winner in the Asia-Pacific region. The bank said in a statement that the winners were chosen among entries evaluated by a world-class panel of judges at Infosys, a global leader in consulting, technology and outsourcing.
According to the statement, the winning banks, including Standard Chartered Nepal among others, were selected based on the strength of strategy for attracting and servicing digital customers, success in getting clients to use digital offerings, growth of digital customers, breadth of product offerings, evidence of tangible benefits gained from digital initiatives, and web/mobile site design and functionality.
Standard Chartered Nepal said that this is the fourth time in a row it has bagged this award.
