November 16: Japan-based Kobelco Construction Machinery in collaboration with its Indian partner company handed over a Kobelco mini excavator (SK35SR-6) and one Hydraulic Rock Breaker to Mityal Community Development Agriculture Multipurpose Co-operative Ltd for charitable activities in Nepal.
Issuing a statement, Kobelco said that the heavy equipment were donated by Japanese companies Tohoku Kurosawa Kensetsu and Hashimoto Kenki.
Masayuki Sato, who is the CEO of Tohoku Kurosawa Kensetsu, has been supporting for establishing kindergarten and water supply works in Nepal on donation basis since several years. For further contribution to the Nepali society, he and his company donated one unit of Kobelco mini excavator SK35SR-6 this time, reads the statement. In addition to the mini excavator, Hashimoto Kenki donated one unit of Hydraulic Rock Breaker to fit SK35SR-6 mini excavator.
Kobelco Construction Machinery said it will cover transportation cost and customs duty for the heavy equipment.
The machinery were handed over to Ok Baje, who has been active in social works in remote areas of Palpa and Mityal for the last 25 years.
Presently, over 700 Kobelco excavators are working in Nepal, which are supported by Pooja Construction Nepal Pvt Ltd.
