Thirty-five vehicles are set to be launched at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025, scheduled to take place in Kathmandu from August 6 to 10, organisers announced on Monday, July 28.
The Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) said at a press conference that the lineup will include 15 four-wheeler passenger vehicles, 15 two-wheelers, and five commercial vehicles.
More than 50 brands are expected to participate in the five-day expo, which is projected to attract around 80,000 visitors.
The venue at Bhrikutimandap has undergone infrastructure upgrades, including improvements in drainage and accessibility, the organisers said.
NAIMA President Ritu Singh Vaidya expressed confidence that the event will be “Nepal’s biggest and most significant mobility expo.”
A panel discussion featuring national and international experts is scheduled for the final day of the event.
Sponsors are introducing a range of incentives for visitors. Pathao will offer up to 30% discount on rides to Bhrikutimandap, while Frontline Hospital will provide 24-hour ambulance services, as well as emergency and general medical care at the venue.
To generate public engagement, NAIMA has launched a social media competition targeting content creators. The best video related to the expo, uploaded by August 6, will earn the creator a cash prize of Rs 100,000. Additionally, the top creators who upload their videos between August 6 and 10 will each win Rs 10,000.
Tickets are priced at Rs 200 for regular admission and Rs 100 for students. They can be purchased via Khalti by IME or at the venue. Five percent of ticket sales will go towards scholarships and fellowships in mobility-related fields, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), organisers said.
