April 29: Binod Chaudhary’s ‘Making it Big’- the inspiring story of Nepal’s first billionaire and the man behind the iconic Wai Wai noodles brand was launched at a glittering ceremony in New Delhi. According to a press statement by the Chaudhary Group, the book launch was attended by influential Indian political figures including Shatrughan Sinha, T Subbirami Reddy, Madan Mohan Mittal, Pawan Verma, Ramdas Agarwal and businessmen like RC Bhargava of Maruti Suzuki Motors and Ravi Jaipuria along with many other well known faces of India.
The memoir was first published in Nepali by renowned Nepalese book publisher Nepalaya in 2013 which was later translated into English and published in 2015. The present version of the memoir, ‘Making it Big’ has been revised and published by Penguin for South Asian markets excluding Nepal.
The memoir traces the life and journey of Binod Chaudhary, the empire builder and philanthropist who is also known for his indomitable passion for growing his business. “The book narrates stiff challenges and obstacles Chaudhary faced and his legendary rise to setting up one of South Asia’s leading business groups – CG Corp Global. This memoir, a B-school case study and a bestseller in Nepal, tells Binod Chaudhary’s inspiring success story in his own words,” reads the statement.
