KATHMANDU, August 14: The government has endorsed a comprehensive action plan for reforms in the civil aviation sector. The Council of Ministers, in a meeting on August 12, approved the plan for the operation of Gautam Buddha International Airport and Pokhara Regional International Airport, according to Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung. He shared this during a news conference held at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology on Tuesday.
In the same meeting, the cabinet appointed Ramesh Acharya from Dhading district as the General Manager of Food Management and Trading Company Limited, and Prakash Prasad Pokharel from Ilam district as the General Manager of Nepal Transit and Warehousing Company Limited.
Minister Gurung, who also serves as the government spokesperson, announced additional appointments to the Federal Land Utilization Council, including Dr. Rewati Raman Poudel, Dr. Yamuna Ghale, Dr. Reshma Shrestha, and Jagat Bahadur Deuja as its members.
Furthermore, the cabinet approved a loan assistance of USD 110 million from the Asian Development Bank for irrigation projects and established a panel, led by a joint secretary from the Finance Ministry, to negotiate a grant of USD 15 million. -- RSS
