The weather across most parts of the country is expected to remain fair today (May 7), despite the ongoing influence of westerly and local winds, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.
The Division also reported a partial influence of moisture-laden air from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea.
This afternoon, the weather is forecast to be partly to generally cloudy in the hill areas, while remaining fair in the rest of the country. Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in some parts of the hill region, and in a few places elsewhere.
In the mountainous region, light rain and snowfall are expected at some locations.
Tonight, the weather will remain partly cloudy in the hill areas and fair in other parts. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is possible at one or two places in the hill region, including Koshi Province.
