Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel has urged Malaysian investors to increase their investment in Nepal’s physical infrastructure and tourism sectors.
A delegation from the Malaysia-Nepal Business Council met with Paudel Friday at the Ministry of Finance.
“Our policies are investor-friendly,” Paudel said. “Identify potential areas and move forward with proper preparation. The government is ready to support and facilitate.”
According to the finance minister’s secretariat, members of the delegation expressed interest in investing in information technology, trade, hydropower, and tourism among other sectors.
The delegation included Malaysia-Nepal Business Council Chair Pradeep Kumar Kukreja, Dr. Chai Kee Khan, and Ganesh Kumar Bangah, among others.
