The government has announced a public holiday on Monday for Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations.

According to Home Ministry spokesperson and joint secretary Ram Chandra Tiwari, the holiday was declared in line with the notice published in the Nepal Gazette on February 11, 2024.

Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the major festivals of the Muslim community, has traditionally been celebrated nationwide with great enthusiasm. -- RSS
