Passengers of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) can now book tickets to travel to the United States, Western countries, and South Korea through a new agreement with Japan Airlines. Although the flag carrier of Nepal does not operate flights to these destinations, it’s passengers can travel to the countries in a hassle-free manner with this new arrangement.
Under this bilateral agreement, passengers must first fly with Nepal Airlines to Narita International Airport in Japan. From there, they can continue their journey to their final destination using Japan Airlines’ connecting flights.
According to a press release issued by NAC on Wednesday, the agreement allows Nepal Airlines to provide a seamless check-in process for both passengers and their baggage on Japan Airlines’ connecting flights. The partnership also facilitates travel to Nepal for international tourists via the same network.
NAC expects this agreement to boost its business, support Nepal’s tourism industry, increase foreign exchange earnings, and strengthen Nepal-Japan trade relations.
With this, NAC has now signed Passenger Interline Partnership Agreements with 25 airlines and Cargo Interline Partnership Agreements with 28 airlines.
