The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index closed in green on Thursday, November 14, after ending in red for the two consecutive days.
The index gained 13.95 points, to close at 2,748.78 points on the final trading day of the week.
Despite gaining points on the first two days this week, 62.54 on Sunday and 22.14 on Monday, it declined by 11.24 points on Tuesday and 18.79 points on Wednesday.
Thursday's session, however, saw an increment in daily turnover, which exceeded Rs 10.32 billion compared to Rs 7.91 billion the previous day.
More than 21 million shares were exchanged through 101,545 transactions during the session.
The Sensitive, Float, and Sensitive Float indices all ended in the green, with gains of 0.48 percent, 0.51 percent, and 0.49 percent, respectively.
Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GLBSL), Swabhimaan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMFBS), and Upper Hewakhola Hydropower Company Limited (UHEWA) became the top gainers of the day by hitting the upper circuit limit.
They were closely followed by Ngadi Group Power Ltd. (NGPL), Machhapuchhre Bank Limited (MBL), and 10.25 percent KBL Debenture 2086 (KBLD86) which saw a 9.79 percent, 9.56 percent, and 9.38 percent increase in their share prices, respectively.
On the contrary, Rawa Energy Development Limited (RAWA) became the biggest loser, with its share price dropping by 9.12 percent.
In terms of turnover, Janaki Finance Company Limited (JFL) led the list, followed by Ngadi Group Power Ltd. (NGPL) and Samriddhi Finance Company Limited (SFCL).
Out of the 13 NEPSE sub-indices, seven ended in the green. The HydroPower Index saw the highest gain of 1.34 percent, while the Trading Index recorded the steepest decline of 0.62 percent.
