KATHMANDU, August 1: The Weather Forecasting Division on Wednesday announced the possibility of rainfall in various parts of the country for the next three days, particularly during the night. However, unlike the past three days, the upcoming days are expected to see an improvement in the weather.
Rojan Lamichhane, a meteorologist at the division, stated that nighttime rain is expected from Wednesday through Friday, after which the weather will likely improve. The influence of monsoon winds remains active across the country, he added.
The division also reported that the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy throughout the country today, August 1.
Issuing a weather bulletin on Thursday morning, the Weather Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology warned of heavy rainfall at one or two locations in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning expected in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as a few places in Madhes.
Tonight, the weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy across the country, with light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in a few locations in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and at one or two locations in Madhes and Lumbini provinces. The division indicated that there is a likelihood of heavy rainfall at one or two locations in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces tonight. -- RSS
