The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced a reduction in fuel prices, effective Sunday, March 16.
Issuing a statement late Saturday, NOC said the price of petrol was lowered by Rs 5 per liter, and that of diesel and kerosene by Rs 4 per liter each.
With this adjustment, petrol now costs Rs 160.50 per liter in the first category, Rs 162 in the second, and Rs 163 in the third. Similarly, diesel and kerosene are now priced at Rs 148.50, Rs 150, and Rs 151 per liter, respectively, across the three categories.
NOC classifies its depots into three categories. The first category includes Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalwari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj. The second category consists of Surkhet and Dang, while the third category comprises Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal.
