The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has hiked the prices of diesel and kerosene by Rs 3 per litre effective from Saturday, November 16.
A meeting of the NOC board of directors on Friday made the decision.
With the price adjustment, diesel and kerosene now cost Rs 150.5 per litre in the first category, Rs 152 per litre in the second category, and Rs 153 per litre in the third category.
The NOC has classified Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhganj, Bhalwari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj under the first category, Surkhet, and Dang under the second category and Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dipayal depots under the third category.
Issuing a statement, the NOC said it decided to increase fuel prices based on the revised price list of petroleum products received from its sole supplier – the Indian Oil Corporation.
