Nepal Oil Corporation has reduced the prices of petrol, diesel, aviation fuel and kerosene oil effective from October 1.
According to the state-owned news agency RSS, the price of petrol has been reduced by Re 1, diesel and kerosene by Rs 2 each and aviation fuel by Rs 6 per litre for domestic flights and by USD 45 per kiloliter for international flights.
However, the price of LP gas has been kept unchanged even though the Indian Oil Corporation charged an additional Rs 41 per cylinder on LPG. The NOC said it decided to keep the price of cooking gas unchanged considering the upcoming festivals.
As per the revised price list, petrol will cost Rs 155.50 per liter in Chaaraali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalwari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi and Birgunj while diesel and kerosene will cost Rs 144.50 per liter in these areas.
Likewise, petrol will cost Rs 157 per liter in Surkhet and Dang whereas diesel and kerosene will cost Rs 146 per liter. In Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dipayal, petrol will cost Rs 158 per liter whereas diesel and kerosene will cost Rs 147 per liter.
