Popular Indian actress and dancer Nora Fatehi mesmerized thousands of fans during her debut performance in Nepal on Saturday evening, delivering a high-energy show at the ‘Nora Fatehi Live in Nepal’ event held at Hyatt Ground in Bouddha, Kathmandu.
The charity event, organized by Worldwide Films Network Pvt. Ltd. and managed by Manu Media Pvt. Ltd., was held in support of Human Respect Nepal, a social organization working to provide education to underprivileged children.
Performing live for the first time in Nepal, Fatehi expressed heartfelt appreciation for the love and hospitality she received. “The support and warmth I’ve experienced in Nepal is unforgettable,” she said. Her 40-minute performance included hit tracks like ‘Snake Dance’, ‘Kusu Kusu’, ‘O Saki Saki’, ‘Nach Meri Rani’, and ‘Dilbar’, delivered alongside her 23-member dance troupe.
The show featured unexpected moments of joy as well. Fatehi invited Nepali dancer Sushant Khatri to the stage for a surprise duet on ‘Gehra Samandar’, which received a thunderous response. She also recognized content creator Gaurav Sitaula, known for recreating her dances on social media, and performed with him on ‘Dilbar’.
Fatehi had earlier expressed excitement about visiting Nepal in a pre-recorded message and urged fans to support the charitable cause. She arrived in Kathmandu from the UAE on Saturday morning and departed the next day.
Nepali performers Durgesh Thapa, Teriya Magar, and Samarpan Lama, along with the top five artists from Voice of Nepal Season 6—Process Pandey, Roshan Rai, Arpana Acharya, Pramesh Rai, and Indrakala Rai—also graced the stage, adding to the multicultural appeal of the evening.
Organizers said the event successfully combined entertainment with social impact, reflecting the spirit of promoting social work through music and dance. -- RSS
