The number of stock broker companies authorized to conduct transactions in the secondary stock market has reached 90.
Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) reported that 82 stock broker companies were licensed to operate in the secondary market by the end of the last fiscal year, 2023/24. An additional eight companies have since received licenses, bringing the total to 90 as of October 16.
Additionally, NEPSE renewed the memberships of two companies as stock dealers for the current fiscal year: Nagarik Stock Dealer Company Limited and Nabil Stock Dealer Limited.
Of the registered stock broker companies, two have received permission to conduct full transactions, while the remaining 88 are authorized for limited transactions. The companies approved for full transactions are NIMB Stock Markets Limited and Himalayan Securities Limited. -- RSS
