The flood in Lhende Stream—an upstream tributary of the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa—which according to authorities was caused by supraglacial lake outburst in Tibet, swept away the Nepal–China Friendship Bridge at the Rasuwagadhi customs point. It also caused extensive damage to the under-construction dry port in Timure, the customs office, and the connecting roads. Numerous vehicles and containers, including electric vehicles parked at the dry port, were washed away.
Several downstream hydropower projects were also affected.
