Police have arrested three share investors, including Deependra Agrawal, on charges of fraud and criminal breach of trust.
Agrawal, 42, a permanent resident of Biratnagar Metropolitan City-9 in Morang district and currently residing in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-14, was taken into custody on Monday following a complaint filed by Dinesh Prasad Shah, 60. Shah, originally from Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City-1 in Dhanusha district, currently resides in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-10.
According to Superintendent of Police Apilraj Bohora, spokesperson for the Kathmandu Police Range, the arrest followed allegations that Agrawal had convinced Shah to transfer shares and deposit Rs 60.45 million into his account. However, Agrawal neither delivered the promised shares nor returned the money.
