Sagar Pandey has been elected as the president of the Trekking Agencies' Association of Nepal (TAAN), the umbrella organization for trekking entrepreneurs.
Pandey was elected during the 46th annual general assembly of TAAN, held on Monday. With three decades of experience in mountain tourism, Pandey brings extensive expertise to his new role.
Additionally, Karma Sherpa, Bishnu Prasad Lamsal, Sanam Sherpa, and Sonam Gyaljen Sherpa have been elected as senior vice-president, first vice-president, second vice-president, and general secretary, respectively, according to outgoing general secretary Binod Sapkota.
Rinzi Jangbu Sherpa, Gautam Raj Wagle, and Lakpa Tenba Sherpa have been elected as secretary, treasurer, and joint-treasurer of TAAN, respectively.
Pabitra Tamang was elected as a member under the women’s category, while Ambir Bahadur Gurung, Binod Kumar Tamang, Hom Bahadur Bishwokarma, Phurpu Chhiring Lhomi (Bhote), Bikas Gurung, Sagar Rai, Chhapte Lama, and Raju Gurung were elected as members. -- RSS
