Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli held a bilateral meeting with his Chinese counterpart, Premier Li Qiang, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Tuesday, December 3.
Premier Li warmly welcomed Prime Minister Oli, who had arrived in China the previous day, with a ceremonial guard of honour presented by the People’s Liberation Army of China, as reported by RSS, the state-owned news agency.
During their meeting, the two leaders led their respective delegations in comprehensive bilateral discussions. They also witnessed the signing of several agreements aimed at enhancing cooperation in key areas.
The agreements included: Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) on enhancing Nepal-China trade, development projects, economic and technical cooperation, volunteer Chinese language teachers, and communication technology between Nepal Television and China Media Group; Exchange of documents related to the construction of the Tokha-Chhahare Tunnel, cash assistance, and the completion of the Basantapur Nine-Story Palace reconstruction; and a protocol concerning the export of processed buffalo meat.
Later in the day, Oli is scheduled to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The Prime Minister is accompanied by his wife, Radhika Shakya; advisors Bishnu Rimal and Yubaraj Khatiwada; Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba; several federal lawmakers; the chief secretary; senior government officials; and representatives from the private sector.
