The government’s revenue collection from real estate transactions in the Nepali month of Mangsir (mid-November to mid-December) increased significantly compared to the previous month - Kartik (mid-October to mid-November).
According to the Department of Land Management and Records, the government collected Rs 2.70 billion in mid-October to mid-November, which rose to Rs 3.98 billion in mid-November to mid-December. The review month saw 43,379 real estate transactions nationwide, compared to 33,514 transactions in the previous month.
The Land Revenue Office Lagankhel collected Rs 339.50 million in mid-November to mid-December. Among the nine Land Revenue Offices in the Kathmandu Valley, Kalanki collected Rs 265.73 million, Chabahil Rs 225.82 million, Sankhu Rs 75.02 million, Manmaiju Rs 72.63 million, and Tokha Rs 71.25 million.
Outside the valley, Biratnagar's Land Revenue Office collected Rs 104.91 million, while Chitwan's collected Rs 359.83 million.
The government collected Rs 26.63 million in service tax, Rs 2.64 billion in registration fees, and Rs 1.32 billion in capital gains tax in the review month. -- RSS
