May 31: Siddhartha Bank has signed an agreement with IME Digital Solution Limited to help its customers link their IME Pay Wallet with their Siddhartha Bank account. This enables the customers to seamlessly transfer funds to and from their bank accounts to the wallet, IME Digital Solution Limited said in a statement.
The bank's customers will also be able to avail recharge, payments, small value money transfer services along with myriad of other online and offline services, QR code-based payment services of IME Pay.
With Siddhartha Bank onboard, IME Pay now has four partner banks signed up in its wallet ecosystem. The other banks are Global IME Bank, Sunrise Bank and Bank of Kathmandu.
IME Digital Solution Limited, which developed and introduced mobile money transfer service “IME Pay” was granted with Payment Service Provider (PSP) license by Nepal Rastra Bank in June, 2017.
The company obtained the operating license under NRB’s “Payments and Settlement Bylaw 2072” for wallet service through mobile telephone network making it the first licensed PSP of the country.
