October 3: Siddhartha Development Bank has shifted its Tinkune, Subidhanagar based branch office to Kumaripati, Lalitpur. Chinta Mani Siwakoti, Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank inaugurated the new branch office on October 2.
The inauguration function was held under the chairmanship of Ram Bahadur Bhandari, Chairman of the bank. Speaking at the program, Siwakoti said that NRB is determined to provide financial stability and for the multiplier growth and expansion of banks and financial institutions (BFIs). He requested BFIs to meet the new paid-up capital requirement within the stipulated time frame. He also requested BFIs to maintain good governance and prioritise expansion of banking services in the rural area.
Siddhartha Development Bank is the merged entity of Siddhartha Development Bank, Ekta Bikash Bank and Nepal Aawas Finance. The bank had started its joint transaction from June 10, 2016.
