August 21: Rastriya Banijya Bank has modified its mobile banking services. The earlier version of mobile banking services used by 200,000 domestic customers has been modified to RBB Smart Services so as to allow worldwide customers to use the services.
Issuing a press statement, the bank informed that the Smart Services is accessible through mobile SMS and internet. The services facilitate customers to transact the account, deposit, mobile touch-up recharge at two percent discount and inter-bank money transfer staying at home. Similarly, banking activities including payment of principle and interest amount, cheque book demand, other merchant payment, register complains and information about branches and ATMs location can also be done through the services.
“The services will minimise the time and cost of customers as it will facilitate aforementioned facilities through internet from any part of the world after registering once in the system,” reads the statement. According to the statement, the services will be available from all 168 branches of RBB and Electronic Banking Department at Rs 150 annual charge.
