Mercure Kathmandu, a newly opened five-star hotel at Sukedhara Heights, has unveiled Sopra Italiano, its highly anticipated Italian restaurant, offering an authentic taste of Italy in the heart of Nepal’s capital.
Issuing a statement, Accor Hospitality Group which manages the hotel said that the Italian restaurant was inaugurated by French Ambassador to Nepal, Virginie Corteval on March 18.
The statement added that Sopra Italiano promises a genuine Italian culinary experience, featuring a carefully curated menu that includes hand-stretched pizzas, fresh homemade pasta, and indulgent Italian desserts, all crafted with premium ingredients. “The restaurant blends rustic Italian charm with modern sophistication, making it an ideal spot for intimate dinners, family gatherings, and celebrations,” reads the statement.
"We are thrilled to introduce an authentic Italian dining experience to Kathmandu, where guests can enjoy exquisite cuisine complemented by the excitement of our live kitchen," said Vijay Nanmaran S, general manager of Mercure Kathmandu.
