April 12: TCL, a Chinese electronics brand, has appointed Brazilian football star Neymar Jr as its global brand ambassador for the air conditioner. Issuing a press statement on Wednesday, the company said that it was hopeful that the product would be popular and witness a rapid growth in its sales. “TCL AC having the perfect mixture of technology and art has five years warranty,” the statement added.

TCL said it has been engaged in developing AC with specific scenario functions, such as its Air con+ series, which were designed to build up IOT connections between users and air conditioners.
