September 7: Transsion Holdings, a global mobile phone manufacturers and a leading supplier of communication devices, has entered into the Nepalese mobile phone market on September 6 with the introduction of its mobile phone brands Tecno, itel and accessories brand Oraimo. Issuing a press statement, the company said that the brands will be exclusively available in Nepal through its authorized distributor, Mahalaxmi mobile.
Transsion Holdings said it will not just give a 12-month warranty in itel and 12+1 month warranty on Tecno but will also offer a ground breaking service proposition of 100-day replacement guarantee on Tecno and itel mobiles in the country. The accessories brand Oraimo will be covered with up to 12 months warranty.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Marco Ma of Transsion Holdings, Nepal said, “Nepal has an enormous potential for mobile phones and accessories, but the wide-ranging demands of customers in the country have largely been unmet by the fragmented offerings. With the launch of Tecno, itel, and Oraimo, we aim to fill the void within this promising market and meet the aspirations of Nepalese consumers with our end-to-end, value-added products and services.”
Santosh Bhandari, general manager of Mahalaxmi Mobiles, said, “This is a great beginning and we are sure that an association between the global conglomerate Transsion and Mahalaxmi Mobiles would be a fruitful one. With our understanding of the Nepalese market and the scale plus technology expertise of Transsion, the Nepalese consumers are in for a treat.”
Transsion Holdings said it has its presence in more than 58 countries across the globe. It has entered the Nepalese market with four Tecno Mobile smartphones, namely i7, CX Air, WX3, and WX4.
