NEPSE Index Gains 15.46 Points as NRN Infrastructure Leads Turnover

July 4: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index experienced an increase of 15.46 points, or 0.73%, closing at 2119.69 on the last trading day of the week, on Thursday.

During Thursday’s trading session, 313 scrips were traded through 84,126 transactions on NEPSE. A total of 22,167,678 units of shares were exchanged, resulting in a total turnover of Rs 6.48 billion.

NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited (NRN) led the turnover, with total transactions worth Rs 30 crores. Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company Limited (AKJCL) saw the highest gain of 10%, hitting the positive circuit for the day.

In contrast, Mailung Khola Jal Vidhyut Company Limited (MKJC) experienced the biggest loss, dropping 9.37% to settle at Rs 629.90 per share.

In terms of sectoral performance, all sectors closed in the green except for Finance and Manufacturing & Processing. The Development Bank Index achieved the highest gain of 3.43%, while the Finance Index suffered the largest decline at 0.59%.
