The auspicious time for receiving tika and blessings during this year’s Dashain festival is 11:36 AM today, October 12. According to the Nepal Calendar Determination Committee, although the auspicious time for receiving tika, a mixture of red vermillion powder with rice and curd, has been fixed at 11:36 AM, people can receive tika and blessings throughout the day.
President Ram Chandra Paudel will offer tika to the general public today on the occasion of Bada Dashain. The ceremony will take place at his residence, Shital Niwas, starting at 3:30 PM.
Those wishing to receive tika can visit Shital Niwas between 3:30 PM and 5:00 PM, according to the President's Office.
Prior to that, the President will offer tika to VVIPs and VIPs from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM. The dignitaries include lawmakers, deputy prime ministers, provincial chiefs, ministers, justices, and officials from constitutional bodies. Civil servants, as well as members of the Nepalese Army and Nepal Police, will also receive tika and jamara from the President.
