September 18: Jeevan Bhattarai has been appointed as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of Century Bank. A meeting of the board of directors of the bank on September 17 decided to promote Bhattarai from the post of deputy CEO to the acting CEO. The same meeting also accepted the resignation of the bank’s CEO Anuj Mani Timilsina. Bhattarai holds an MPhil degree in management in addition to post graduate degrees in economics and human resource management while he is also a law graduate. Bhattarai has served in top posts of various banks including Siddhartha Bank, Himalayan Bank and Century Bank for the last 21 years.
