The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has freezed the bank locker of some high-ranking government officials to investigate into the source of their property. The officials are from the Armed Police Force, Nepal Police, Nepal Telecom, Nepal Telecommunication Authority, Ministry of Energy and Nepal Oil Corporation, according to CIAA source.
Similarly, bank lockers of some officers of Revenue Administration, Debt Recovery Tribunal, Medical Council, Engineering Council, Urban Development Ministry, Irrigation Ministry, Agriculture Ministry , Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited, Civil Aviation Authority, Land Revenue Office CTEVT, Home Ministry, Transport Management Office, Department of Survey, Tribhuvan International Airport, Foreign Employment Department are also frozen by the anti-graft body.
