The death toll in rain-induced disasters in the last few days has reached 148 until Sunday, September 29, afternoon.
At least 55 individuals have gone missing and 101 others have sustained injuries, reported RSS, the state-owned news agency.
Dhading district has reported the highest fatalities with 38 deaths, followed by Kavre (29), Lalitpur (22), and Kathmandu (16), Home Ministry’s Spokesperson Rishiram Tiwari, told RSS.
At least 322 houses have been destroyed in the disaster and 16 bridges swept away, according to the Armed Police Force.
Nearly 10,000 security personnel have been mobilised to carry out the search and rescue operations, according to the ministry. A total of 3,661 individuals have been rescued so far.
