August 26: Government offices will now have to mandatorily use social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and Viber as per the social network procedure enforced by the government. The government move is aimed at interacting with the service seekers to address their concerns promptly with the use of social media.
According to the social networking working procedure 2075, the entire government offices across the country will have to mandatorily operate social networking from now onwards.
The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers informed that the decision is aimed at directly connecting the government authorities with the public, for circulating the government notice immediately and to address the complains of the public.
The working procedure also allows the government to open its own social networking site for effective interaction with the public.
