August 15: A Japanese pharmaceutical company organized a free eye check-up camp in the capital and distributed medicines free of cost.
A press statement issued by the Japanese company Rohto Mentholatum says it Rohto has been continuously organizing free eye checkup camps and free medicine distribution in various parts of the country as part of its corporate social responsibility.
In this context, Rohto Mentholatum held the free eye check-up under the supervision of Dr Sabina Shrestha of Nepal Eye Hospital, Tripureshwor and her team in association with Professional Support Service Nepal and Patan Heritage and club on August 12.
More than 850 people got chance to examine their eyes and received free medicines as per their requirements. After the check-up Dr Shrestha said more than 80% of the eye examinees were diagnosed with various issues related with their eyes.
According to the press statement, Rohto Mentholatum is a Japanese company which produces pharmaceutical and varieties of medicated cosmetics and skin care products. It has been operating in Nepal since the last 3 years.
