The price of gold in Nepal declined by Rs 100 per tola on Sunday, November 17.
Last Friday, the precious yellow metal had surged by the same rate following a consecutive decline for five days.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (Fenegosida), fine gold is being traded at Rs 160,000 per tola (11.66 grams).
Gold’s record-breaking rally has hit the brakes in recent weeks following the strengthening dollar after Donald Trump won the US presidential election held on November 5.
Earlier on October 31, it had peaked in the domestic market to a record high of Rs 171,000 per tola. The record was set when preparations were in full swing for Tihar celebrations.
Silver’s price also declined by Rs 5 per tola on Sunday to Rs 1,905 per tola, according to the federation.
