The price of gold surged by Rs 1,400 per tola (11.66 grams) in the domestic market of Nepal on Tuesday, October 15.
The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association has fixed the price of fine gold at Rs 160,500 per tola for the day, compared to the previous price of Rs 159,100 per tola fixed last Wednesday, October 9.
Earlier on October 4, the precious yellow metal set a new record after the fine gold’s price soared to Rs 161,300 per tola.
Silver also became dearer by Rs 25 per told for the day, to be traded at Rs 1925 per tola.
