August 29: Kumari Bank won the title of Corporate Futsal League 2017 on August 26. Laxmi Group finished as runner-up after losing the final match of the three-week event on penalty shoot-out.
The tournament kicked off at Bouddha Futsal Arena on August 5.
The winner and the runner-up were felicitated by the title sponsor Nepal Telecom’s Chief Corporate Officer (CCO) Pradeep Raj Upadhyay amid a function at Hotel Shangrila.
The organizers handed Rs 50,000 to HelpNepal Network to support the victims of the recent floods.
Nepal Telecom has been the title sponsor of the event for the third time including in 2014, 2016 and 2017 while World Distribution Nepal has been the associate sponsor since the first edition in 2013.
The winning team was sponsored a flight to Pokhara by Buddha Airways in addition to 2 days and 2 nights stay in Shangrila Village Resort in Pokhara and 50 percent scholarship on MBA program by Sunway International Business School.
Likewise, the runner-up team was provided a mountain flight sponsored by Buddha Airways and lunch/dinner at Shangrila Hotel and 50 percent scholarship on MBA program by Sunway International Business School.
