HSEB Publishes Grade 11 (XI) Supplementary Results
Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB), Sanothimi published the result of supplementary exam of grade XI on Tuesday, February 18th. Out of 52,462 students 41,515 (79.14 %) have passed the examination. The exams of 36 students were dismissed for cheating during the exams. Similarly, HSEB cancelled the results of all the examinees of JanJagriti Higher Secondary School, Salleri, Solukhumbu (Center no. 093).
PU Publishes Results
Purbanchal University (PU), office of the examination management, Biratnagar published the results of various semesters/ years. The results of the program and semesters which has been published are: B.Sc.Biotech - I & III Semesters, BTech.Biotech -I & III Semesters and M.Sc.Meat/Dairy Tech- I Semester.
British Council to hold Edu Fair
British Council is organising ‘Education UK Exhibition’ from 25th -28th February, 2014 from 11:00 to 17:00 hours at the Everest Hotel, Kathmandu and Hotel Pokhara Grande, Pokhara. The programme will be comprised of seminars / presentations by representatives from the British Council, British High Commission and UK institutions. The exhibition has aimed to promote UK education and increase the understanding of the UK’s expertise in education. The event will be focused on complete guidance about the career opportunities that are available enabling prospective students to make the right career/education choice.
SLC Exam Centres Fixed
The Ministry of Education, Office of the Controller of Examinations (OCE) has fixed 1,836 exam centres throughout the country for the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations scheduled for March 20 to 28, 2014. Fifty centres had to be added this year on the number of exam centres last year as the home centres have been done away with across the country from this year. The number of exam centres last year was 1,786.
CTEVT Publishes the Results of Special Scholarship
Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) has published the results of special scholarships on 22nd of February for the Dalit, Muslim and Madhesi students of Rupandehi and Sunsari district and endangered nationalities of all over Nepal. CTEVT provides scholarships to study PCL Nursing, General Medicine, and other diploma programs and TSLC programs.
Planning department of Pokhara University Padlocked
The Nepal Students Union (NSU) has padlocked the planning department of Pokhara University. Students padlocked the department after Nepal Health Professionals Council (NHPC) denied approval and recognition to students of Nobel Academy who are reading in BPH and BMLT. The Nobel academy was allowed to admit 40 students in Bachelor in Public Health (BPH) Programme and 25 students Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Technician (BMLT). However, it had increased the number of students for both of the programme without approval of the council.
PU Liaison Office Padlocked
Liaison office of the Purbanchal University (PU) has been padlocked by the CPN-Maoist aligned All Nepal National Independent Students Union- Revolutionary (ANNISU-R) for an indefinite period from Tuesday, 18th February. The student organisation padlocked the office stating that examination results have been delayed for 18 months, dispute between the vice-chancellor and registrar has not been resolved and that the question papers were leaked.
