The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) increased marginally by 3.80 points, or 0.13%, to close at 2,786.40 points on Wednesday. This minor gain follows a notable decline of 191.84 points over the previous two trading days.
Despite this increase, the daily turnover dropped to Rs 13.72 billion, compared to Rs 18.46 billion recorded on Tuesday.
A total of 326 stocks were traded across 168,175 transactions, involving 35,007,039 shares. The market capitalization stood at Rs 4.42 trillion.
Among the traded stocks, 98 companies saw price increase, 142 experienced a decline in prices, and 4 remained unchanged.
Key performers included Liberty Energy, Himalayan Hydropower, Midsolu Hydropower, Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta, and Maikhola Hydropower, each seeing a 10% rise in their stock prices.
On the turnover front, Chandragiri Hills Limited (CGH) led the pack with Rs 430.79 million in trading volume, followed by Nepal Finance, Himalayan Reinsurance, Api Power, and Arun Valley Hydropower.
The biggest loser was Karnali Development Bank, which saw a significant drop of 6.88%.
