October 17: Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) Nepal has opened nine new branches at once. LIC informed that it opened new branches at New Baneshwar and Kalanki of Kathmandu as well as in Ilam, Damak, Itahari, Banepa, Nuwakot, Baitadi and Palpa. The company now has 43 branches in total.
Insurance Board’s Chairman Chiranjivi Chapagain inaugurated the branches online amid a function on Monday, October 16. During the inauguration, Chapagain urged the company to bring new insurance policies and pledged to support the company.
During the function, the company’s acting CEO Abhijit Ghosh Dastidar appointed football star Bimal Gharti Magar as the brand ambassador of the company.
