August 21: Nepal -China Chamber of commerce and Industry (NCCCI) has formed Nepal Council for Silk Road Chamber of Commerce (NCSRCC) with an objective to promote the 'One Belt One road' concept developed by China. The concept has been designed by the Chinese government to re-operate the Silk Road route.
The 17 member committee formed under the leadership of Rajesh Kaji Shrestha include Tribhuvan Das Tuladhar and Binod Bahadur Shrestha as members. Similarly, the other committee members are Surendra Bir Malakar, Rana Bahadur Shrestha, Rajendra Malla, Upendra Poudel, Prasiddha Bahadur Pandey and Kiran Prakash Shakha. Likewise, Arjun Prasad Sharma, Umesh Lal Shrestha, R.B Rauniyar, Prakash Singh Karki, Bishnu Khatri, Dr Hasish Chandra Shah, Sanjay Agrawal and Ziyang Si Ping are also members of the council.
The council will monitor activities of the Silk Road connected countries and its possible incomes to Nepal.
