The 10th Nepal Buildcon International Exhibition kicked off at Bhrikutimandap on Thursday.
Inaugurating the event, Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Devendra Dahal emphasized the need to prioritize development and construction projects.
"Ensuring the country's prosperity and building essential roads to connect local products with urban markets are national priorities," he said. He added that the government is working to reduce reliance on a single country for imports.
The expo features 150 stalls representing over 300 companies from various countries. According to Srijal Bhattarai, managing director of Media Space Solutions Pvt. Ltd., one of the organizers, the event showcases information on construction-related industries, companies, dealers, sub-dealers, and products.
The expo aims to introduce new technologies in the construction sector, Bhattarai added. Exhibits include construction materials, machinery, prefab structures, UPVC window machinery, UPVC profiles, doors and windows, architectural hardware, bathroom fittings, pipes, tiles, and sanitary wares.
Jointly organized by Media Space Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and Futurex Trade and Events Pvt. Ltd., the four-day event highlights construction-related products and innovations.
The expo is open to visitors from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with free entry. Organizers expect around 40,000 to 45,000 attendees. -- RSS
