December 16: Nepal Rastra Bank has appointed Dr Gunakar Bhatta as its new spokesperson. Dr Bhatta is also the Executive Director of the Supervision Department of the central bank.

Earlier, Dev Kumar Dhakal was the spokesperson of the bank.

Bhatta, who holds a doctorate in economics, had taken the responsibility as the spokesperson before this appointment as well.
